I believe that the store and fprward buffers would only come into
use if you were connected to two or more networks and were moving
data between them via the HP. Todays networks this generally happens
at the switch level, not at the HP.

One thing I noticed on the HP side...I have
store and forward buffers set to 0, which disables
that feature. Would that have an effect on
the interaction with my network switch which
thinks that I am operating at Half duplex?
