From an HP press release today:

       "Hewlett-Packard Company today announced that, at Microprocessor
        Forum next week, it will announce availability and performance
        details for its latest 64-bit RISC processor, expected to ship
        in HP systems by year's end."

Clearly, that's not "Merced," but it may be interesting.
