hi all.... I had posted a while ago, but had to leave on business.

I was wondering about our new dtc ports that we have.... I would like to do a
few of the following.

I have been reading that the 16MX servers will support higher spped modems...
is this better than using port 21 on the computer itself? because can port 21
use higher speed?

How do you get a modem (ie hayes or zyxel) or any type to answer.... it would
have to get a config from the HP of ATS0=1 or something like that.

I'm really confused on how to do this.

another thing, what i posted a long time ago, was.... Using the DTC ports
along the backbone of the network (when we get one) and being able to hook the
terminals (hp700/92's) to it with no problem...

Basically connect the Server and the HP together and along it hook up the hubs
and the dtcs..
One more question... CAn i use the newer 16mx dtc's as LAN servers? I can get
the optional hookups to use RJ45 connections (ones needed) by the network
cards..

Any input, because then it will go very smooth.

(hopefully)
