Shawn,
I don't know if this is what you are looking for. I tried this using the
example supplied by others on the list the other day talking about using the
host to call Reflection VBA commands.
1) a command file called pclaunch
PARM AppName="",ParmOrFname=""
COMMENT to launch a pc program
SETVAR ESC "![chr(27)]"
ECHO !ESC&oG
ECHO sub main
ECHO application.shell "!AppName","!ParmOrFname"
ECHO end sub
ECHO !ESC&oH
2) Samba up and running and a directory called pcfiles with a file called
adsrprf.tif
3) used the procedure
PCLAUNCH C:\WINDOWS\KODAKIMG.EXE,F:\pcfiles\adsrprf.tif
And it worked great. I have used this same method to down load files from
the HP to the pc and then bring up Excel with the down loaded file open
because some users are not capable of find their files on "user friendly
windows".
I hope this helps you.
