Here's my 2 cents worth about using the list server for advertising:

If you want to use the list server to promote your business that is fine. But
participate too.

We see dedicated people/businesses like Joe/CSI and others spending hours
answering questions and helping us out. They get the advertising by placing
their URL at the end of each email. We all know how to reach them if we need
more help than can be provided in this forum.

I used to work with Glenn at CPI and also have come to respect the people at
Chris Schaefer. I think they can be a nice addition to the forum.

So, to all the vendors, I say participate in the forum and help out where you
can. Just like you do with the RUGS. Put your URL in the email if you are
answering a question.
