If I may apply a broad brush:

They think computers are either PCs or Macintoshes.  The somewhat
geekier ones have installed Linux on theirs, or want to.  (The geeky
ones who want to be different have installed {Free|Net|Open}BSD on
theirs.)

How will they learn about the HP3000?  And what will they learn?
And what will they think?
