Thank you, Denys. I know I can always count on you for specifics
(I suffer a malady called "generalitis" :-)

I am afraid I have to make a small correction to your numbers, because
Lance was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1996 :-)

Fascinating. I wonder what the MPE-Image secret is. Performance-enhanced
CPUs, perhaps?

I am glad you brought this minor technical detail up. Endurance sports
are a long-term proposition (this almost brought tears to my eyes, as
my memory flashed back to the "Proposition 3000" that Jeff Kell
championed in 1996 -- the very same year of Lance's cancer diagnostic).

"Americans just do not realize the scope of his accomplishments". Hmmm...
I am sure several fellow MPE-Image users will feel sympathetic resonance
regarding some people who "just do not realize the scope of [MPE-Image's]
accomplishments".

Thanks for the tip! I am sure the Cofides managers, being ruled by
money considerations ("numbers", as any manager will attest), are
frequent patrons of these upper-crust establishments :-)

>I don't do bikes, I do restaurants. :)

I am certainly glad you do. During my several decades of worldwide
travel, I have learned that it always pays to have a local friend
who knows local restaurants. I will forever remember the great
Houston restaurant where I had the privilege of being your guest for
dinner. In addition to yummy food for the tummy, I also had the
great pleasure of seeing a small sample of your photographic
portfolio. You are a man of many talents, Denys, and I am convinced
that you might even (secretly) enjoy the elegance of Mac OS X :-)

Now, for a quick swim, to cool down after my bike ride through the
magnificent aspen groves. I did a quick spin to Hemingway's
Memorial, where I have always enjoyed seeing a plaque that reads,
"Best of all he loved the fall..."

For details of Hemingway's deep (seriously) Sun Valley connection,
see http://www.svguide.com/hemingway.htm

We are at 6000 feet (about 2000 meters) above sea level. The
glorious colors of Autumn may be coming later to your neighborhood
if you live at lower altitudes (and/or latitudes -- never mind
the Southern Hemisphere, where you will enjoy this feast a few
months hence).

Now, back to MPE-Image work,
