(apologies...I think this was asked recently by someone else,
but I don't see the messages anymore)
I've got the HP implementation of Samba ver 2.07. for the 3000.
I have a share to a group.acct of "RON.MTI".
I've also set up a 3000 user called "RON.MTI" so as to
set up password protection on this share.
I've mapped a network drive to the share, and it asks
me the password only the first time I connect to the share.
I connect without seeing any problems from my NT client.
However, on the 3000 console I see the following error message:
nmbp/udp: bind reg: Error: No such file or directory
followed by:
nmbp/udp: Service enabled
This also shows up in my JINETD jcl. With the amount of times
I'm seeing it, I think it happens every time I open my network drive
and also when I open or save a file to/from it.
Anyone have an idea what file/directory can't be found? I assume
it's related to Samba and not the files I'm opening closing? Is there
a fix of sorts for this problem?
TIA
