Ok, I step forward and "confess". I have used the HP JDBC driver from the
6.0 Express 1 subsys media on 5.5 systems as well. No, wait, I am still
doing it. It worked fine for my program, applet, and servlets examples on
my web page at the EditCorp site, plus an inhouse application that's not
part of that collection of Java/JDBC examples.

As Gavin mentioned, not supported by HP. However, good chance to work ok.

Even if you don't dare to use this unsupported setup in production, you
might still use it for prototyping and preparing app's for the day when
you update to the supported 6.0 Express-1 or later. And if something does
not happen to work properly, you might still try if the same problem can
be duplicated on 6.0 Express-1 or later (with a small test program).
