The MPE version of HP's JDBC Driver is now available from
Hewlett-Packard's Commercial Systems Division, for beta testing by
HP Customers.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION AND BETA TEST REQUIREMENTS
The HP JDBC driver is a thin client, pure Java, data acess solution.  It
consists of a single, standards-based JDBC driver, network protocol, and
database server interface components for concurrent access IMAGE/SQL and
ALLBASE/SQL database.  All Driver components on the client-side are in
100% Pure Java, providing complete compatibility with all Java Virtual
Machines on all platforms.

Server

  MPE/iX:      5.5 + Power Patch 4.0 and above
  ALLBASE/SQL: G2.00 and above
  IMAGE/SQL  : G2.05

Java Client

  JDK 1.1 (include JDBC 1.2)
  HP JAVA/iX is shipped with MPE/iX starting in Release 6.0.  If you decide to
  use JDBC client on MPE/iX 5.5, you will need to download the JAVA/iX from
  http://jazz.external.hp.com
