I may have missed it, but why not simply use a jumbo dataset?

Adager can convert the current dataset into a jumbo dataset in a
couple of seconds, if I recall correctly.

Sure, that doesn't force people to archive (and delete) old data,
which might be a really good thing to do anyway.
