Yes, indeed, rolling source code forward from eg 2.0.3 to 2.0.5 can be
next to zero changes if GNU cvs is used for source code revision control.
I recall that a "quick & dirty" port of 2.0.3 (read: only minimum changes
to get it build on MPE and run "core" functionality) could be rolled into
the 2.0.5 sources with next to zero manual adjustments. Simply used the
"cvs import" feature to merge the more recent version and GNU cvs did most
of the work (read: after successful build it turned out that the new code
did need an additional adjustment for MPE/iX to work properly).

You don't have to trust me. See the GNU cvs repository on Jazz ;-)
