Okay, so we bought two 918's (one for Ohio and one for Texas) and
are planning on installing SharePlex/NetBase (as soon as we get the
tapes; but that's another email!) and running the data shadowing
across a frame relay network. I was "forced" to buy NS/3000 for the
remote machine (Texas) by my Channel Partner, who said that they were
told by whomever they purchased the equipment from that NS/3000 on the
remote machine was "required". Now, Quest tells me that NS/3000 is
*NOT* required (on either machine) to run the data shadowing part of
SharePlex. I guess it used to be, but after MPE/iX 4.0 or so was not.

So, a question: What does NS/3000 do? If I don't need it, I'll
de-install it and send it back. But, seeing as how I've already
bought it, if it will do something useful for me, I'll keep it.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
