Some vendors are able to cover the costs of touring the country with
one or more dedicated crews who ship/setup the booth, local network,
work stations and servers. Many other vendors cannot afford this and
often have been burned enough that they try to limit what they have
to bring with them. As a whole the h/w vendors stick some 'box' on the
floor even if it is empty (yes, I saw a shell to a cray box that the
staff kept their purses/lunch in!).
