Job Summary

The Senior Programmer Analyst is responsible for high complexity
tasks/projects in the planning, development, enhancement, and maintenance of
business applications systems.  The Senior Programmer/Analyst requires the
capability to provide task/project communications, perform as a liaison, and
meet task/project objectives.

Qualifications & Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or related area
or equivalent work experience plus college level courses in the data
processing field.
Minimum of five years’ programming experience in online/batch business
applications environment (HP3000).
Programming language background experience in COBOL is required.
Experience with data management systems is required.
Structured analysis and design and data modeling are required.
Exposure to 4GL, Cognos, SQL, and relational database experience is a plus.
Ordering and distribution background and team leader experience is
desirable.
Possess fundamental knowledge of systems analysis, program design, coding,
testing, and documentation.
Experience in the retail industry is desired; ability to work overtime when
required.
Knowledge of or familiarity with Image and an MPE-XL and Classic environment
is a plus.
Ability to work on multiple assignments; meet multiple deadlines; and work
independently with minimal supervision; ability to prioritize jobs
Ability to work overtime when required.
Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills and excellent
analytical skills.
Demonstrate ability to make department presentations.
