You seem to have caught an error in the manual as the "OPEN" option
is not valid..
spooler lp;open
^
This is not a valid option for this command. (CIERR 10006)
I would use SPOOLER LP;START;OPENQ

Subject: MPE: mpe 7.0 question
On both page 32 and 103 of the MPE/iX Express 1 Communicator, the text says
'You should insure that there is a "SPOOLER LP;OPEN" ....command in the
systart file.', but the sample systart has a line 'Spooler lp;start'
instead.
Do they perhaps really mean 'openq lp' or 'spooler lp;openq' ?
(In case it matters, on my new A500 mpe 7.0 box, the plan is for LP to be a
network line printer. We have zillions of jobs writing to an HP-IB LP on
our current system, and don't want to change).
