You should have a "PSEUDO" device configured for each physical device, with
the PSEUDO device address as the actual physical address of the physical
device: for example, LDEV 9's configuration is correct, which is why it
works;

     6/4.0 27251A
     6/4.0.0 PSEUDO
     6/4.0.0.0 LDEV 9

for the others, assuming you're driving them all from one 27251A adapter:

     6/4.0.1 PSEUDO
     6/4.0.1.0 LDEV 15

     6/4.0.2 PSEUDO
     6/4.0.2.0 LDEV 16

The above assumes that the SCSI device addresses are 0,1, and 2,
respectively if I interpret your current configuration correctly.

Subject: [HP3000-L] LLIO Errors

Greetings all
I am trying to install 3 new DDS2s on al 960. the path and device configs
in
sysgen look like this. They are in a mini-tower.
The SCSI settings on the tower are: off-off-off (ldev 9) ; off-off-on (ldev
15) ; off-on-off (ldev 16). The drives are loaded in the
tower from the bottom up and all the plugs and connections correspond to
the
switches as 1,2&3 respectively.

LDEV: 9 DEVNAME: OUTDEV: 0 MODE:

ID: HPC1533A RSIZE: 128 DEVTYPE: TAPE

The device adapter configs look like this

I get LLIO errors on bootup like this on ldev 15 & 16; ldev 9 is just fine
and works OK.

LLIO Error - subsys: 243, proc num: -11
for path 6/4.0.0.1.
Error - LLIO device configuration error: -11
        status - subsys: #150 info:#-11

The error manuals are as helpful as usual. Any ideas ???? thanks much
