John asks:

Their news page indicates that over the weekend they had a firewall failure
which prevented people from connecting until this morning.
But in general I think the main problem is that they're a victim of their
own success. There have been over 3.6 million unique "users" contributing
to the SETI@HOME project and still a new one signs up every few minutes.
Today we processed our 15,000th work unit, and after three years and almost
19 years of contributed CPU time, I'm thinking that's enough.
So, I'm leaning towards uninstalling the client from my machines here and
calling it a day. They still have more processing power than they need, and
I think we've done more than our share.
