I changed this to off topic.

This brings up a good point. Every year I make donations to goods to my
favorite charity, and they give me a receipt and I write in the value.

I notice that the IRS looks at this differently when it exceeds 500$ in
value. Does someone know the tax implication of exceeding 500$?

Thanks
Kent Wallace

Ed, If I were to donate an HP3000 can it be written off on my taxes? I
have
a nice HP3000/937 that needs a home...

Just a thought
