Thanks, but I prefer to take my own chances.  Remember the original
problem: a fault in the operating system caused it to stop.  Until the
cause can be determined, I don't trust the (now unreliable) system to make
any judgements of what should be kept.
 
Perhaps the old KSAM file model would be better.  If a system failure
occured and a KSAM file was open, it could not be opened again until dealt
with (KSAMUTIL generally).
