Well, I guess perseverance does pay off.  I just got a bunch of 60 
meter "Media Recognition System" tapes with the four vertical bars, 
and kept trying until I got one that the system didn't reject.

How nice.

Oh well, all's well that ends well.  Now if the tape is readable by 
the recipient, I'll be home free! :-)
