In order to gauge the interest in the subject matter, to continue the
discussion and provide a more standard method reporting both to the users
and to HP, I suggest that another SIG be formed.  We already have SIGMIGRATE
being formed right now, I believe it is also time to start forming
SIGOPENMPE.

I therefore solicit other members of Interex to sign up for the formation of
SIGOPENMPE; dedicated to preserving and expanding the MPE operating system,
beyond HP's official EOL.  We will need someone, probably 2 or 3 people to
lead this SIG and get it going.  So, if you are an Interex member, please
send me your name and membership number (if you don't have it handy, don't
worry, we can find it,) and please state if you are interested in a
leadership role within the SIG.  Please reply privately to me.

Akin to SIGIMAGE, it would be a good idea to have a few leaders and then
perhaps install an advisory committee from around the world, users, vendors
and consultants.  Once the SIG is formed, anyone can join the SIG, member
and non-members alike.  Also, you do not have to be a member to be on the
advisory committee.  I have already submitted my name and number for this
one.  We only need 9 more members to get started.
