Dave,

You may be able to check to see if the stm memlogd process is running.
Basically, when you do a STMSTART diagmond starts and it starts the system
mapping processes. The system mapping processes run one by one until the
system is mapped.

Once the system mapping processes are finished 2 or more specific processes
are started.

You can see this occur by doing an stmstart and doing the following command
in the POSIX shell (do the command several times over a few minutes).

ps -ef | grep stm

(you could also see this with a showproc 1;system;tree)

You will likely see the diagmond process and then various other processes
start up and go away as the system is mapped.

Once the mapping is finished you will likely see,

diagmond
memlogd
diaglogd

and maybe another stm process depending upon STM versions and system type.

You could write a process that checks for the memlogd and/or diaglogd. Once
these are running, the mapping process should be finished.
