MPE/iX 5.0 arrived a couple of days ago -- boxes and boxes of it! As I was
sorting through all the boxes I happened upon the "HP 3000 Series 900
Diagnostics License Agreement" which lists, among other things, which
diagnostics are passworded and which are not. As I was reviewing the list
of diagnostics which *are* passworded I wondered how HP would handle a
couple of variant support scenarios:

First let's imagine that my system is on support with HP but that my
peripherals (disc drive, tape drives, printers) are on support with a third
party maintenance provider. What diagnostics does HP give me when I apply
to HP for the password? All of the diagnostics, or just those relating to
the equipment that's on support with them.

Another scenario is exactly the reverse of the first: imagine that my system
is on support with a third party maintenance provider, but my peripherals
are on support with HP. Which diagnostics do I get access to in this case?
Do I even get access to diagnostics since there's no SPU in the contract?
