Recently, some mention was made of the two commercially available date
manipulation tools for the HP 3000 platform -- Time Machine and HourGlass
2000 -- and what some users' preferences were for each. I'd like to ask
for more information re: your experiences with either of these tools,
particularly concerning any problems or successes with installation,
configuration or usage, future- or pre-dating, statistical and/or results
reporting capabilities, etc. Our Y2K team has kept their development
system date constant (reverts back to the previous day every night at
11:45pm :-( ), and this has caused problems with reporting from system
logs, debugging, file cleanup decisions, etc., and prevents some ISV
software from running well at all. I think the time has come to insist
upon a change, but I'd like to hear some honest evaluations from folks
who've been there.

Please contact me privately via phone or e-mail unless you feel that the
list members would benefit from more detail re: your experiences.

TIA,

Lee Gunter
