I honestly can't recall the reasoning right now, but I would restore the
spoolfile to a local group and then:

:SPOOLF <filename>;PRINT

where filename is the restored file, O1234. You can also add ;DEV=;PRI, etc as
needed. Do a :HELP SPOOLF for all of the options.
