I just finished removing all of our USR V.everything modems,
complete with x2 upgrade, in preparation for sending them back
to the supplier. After working with 3Com, Livingston and the
local supplier for 60 days we were unable to get these things to
reliably reset when DTR dropped.

We replaced them with MUTITECH MT2834ZDX's which worked right
out of the box without any setup required other than to set auto
answer on.

Whatever ultimate becomes the standard, nothing with a USR/3Com
label is getting past the receiving dock at our place.

Regards,
Jim
