A quick test is to bounce something off of listserv itself.  Send mail
to [log in to unmask] with a single command (for example "thanks"
or "release" or "show") and you should get a reply within a reasonable
amount of time.  If you get a reply, but no list mail, there is a list
subscription problem.  If you get no reply, the mail path is likely
broken (temporarily) between you and the listserv host.
