That Basic had a lot of good features that I miss.  For instance--it
offered MATrix arithmetic which is not on Microsoft PC Basic.
 
I also liked how it converted subscripts to [] while arguments were ().
You could type either in interchangeably.
 
We particularly appreciated the HP since before that we used an IBM 1130
running a time sharing system.  I don't know why they picked that
machine for timesharing, but it was extremely slow.
