Joe, I don't know what kind of complaints/conspiracy theories/comments
or whining you have been getting; I have heard nothing bad about the
whole new venture, it's been all positive.

Maybe you need to get up in the plane, let the world pass beneath your
feet for a while, then later (after landing!) take some time to down a
couple of pints of "XXXX" (insert your favourite beer here - apologies
to our Aussie friends)  :o) and let your hair down (so to speak). It
just doesn't seem worth the aggro. Just my $0.02.
