I also encountered this problem with a post from myself a while ago. On a 
question about this Jeff Kell answered me that this has to do with the sender's
e-mailclient not complying with some standards. Unfortunately I can't find his 
mail anymore.......

If you know it happens to your posts the only workaround (if you can't switch
to another mailclient) is to hit return after about 60 chars on each line.
