I concur with raising the limit to$7K.  I don't think it's unreasonable to
assume that some vendors / individuals can (and will want to) give more.  I
also like the idea of ensuring no preference...

As to the timing that was posted in an earlier post,  I think the cut-off
date for "do or return" should be 12/31/2000.  If we can't raise the amount
of money in question within 4 months time, I doubt that we ever will.
However, that being said, I remember that HP-World will be much earlier next
year - perhaps that is a second acceptable alternative date.

In regard to who would do the print ad, I concur with the "slate" presented.
However, not to tie their hands, I would suggest that we encourage them to
contact any other "lister" that they deem would have valuable input into the
process...
