I think my computer has been taken over by aliens....
Keeping in mind my previous VOLUTIL issue: I'm not trying to create a
simple database. DBSCHEMA is happy with life, but when I try to actually
create it with DBUTIL I get an error indictating a set is missing:
NUMBER OF ERROR MESSAGES: 0
ITEM NAME COUNT: 23 DATA SET COUNT: 6
ROOT LENGTH: 1176 BUFFER LENGTH: 505 TRAILER LENGTH: 256
ROOT FILE ORDERS CREATED.
END OF PROGRAM
:dbutil
HP30391C.09.03 TurboIMAGE/XL: DBUTIL (C) COPYRIGHT HEWLETT-PACKARD
COMPANY 1987
>>create orders
File system error #52 on dataset # 2
NONEXISTENT PERMANENT FILE (FSERR 52)
Status array (first five words): 177777 000002 000064 000000 000000
Command ignored.
>>exit
NOTE: At this point, I'm assuming the system failed. The system is not
responding and another session was disconnected at this same moment.
Is it possible that my earlier issue with VOLUTIL (i.e. having some drives
previously defined in the system volume set, but for some reason currently
in UNKNOWN status) could have something to do with this?
Does MPE think the drives are some how still partially alive? If DBUTIL
successfully built dataset #1, but failed on creating dataset #2 (perhaps
on a drive that's in "limbo")...
Argh....I'm going to bed! Hopefully the autoboot will succeed and my
problems will all have be resolved by the reboot....(sounds of Twilight
Zone....)
