Of course (no culinary pun intended).

I just contacted my friends at VESoft regarding the timeliness of a VESoft
web site somewhere. They do, indeed, have EXCELLENT restaurant experience
in the glitzy Hollywood area. So, this will just be another thing for them
to serve (bits instead of bites).

The idea (as also mentioned by Neil Harvey) of having documentation
available via standard browsers (with plug-ins for formats other than HTML)
applies to ANY documentation, not just VESoft's. I have had a lot of fun
doing this for Adager's material during the last couple of years (as
self-prescribed therapy, in fact). The methodology has saved us tens of
thousands of Dollars and our users anywhere in the world have been able to
access "Your Adager Guide" and a plethora of technical papers at any time
of day or night. With this "distribute and print" approach (as opposed to
the "print and distribute" approach that was our only choice up to 1995),
all we do is place the material on our trusty Mac Web Server (which is
always up with no fiddling at all) and our friends simply siphon the stuff
out and print it at their convenience (on ANY printer of their choice) or
simply look at it online.

The only people who complain are FedEx, UPS, Airborne Express, the Post
Office, and related enterprises. But such is the way of progress... We
must all adapt quickly to new technologies and exploit them to the maximum.
Just as HP is doing now with the HP3000 :-)
