Both Bruce and Jeff have better memories than I... the hardware was actually
an HSI (hardware serial interface) which used a fairly simple protocol.
Jeff recalled that the transfer rate was upwards to 1 MB over the coax
connections.  Anyways...a bit of (ancient) history in terms of connectivity..
