Please bare in mind that there are things that eat up disc space other than
perm/temp files.

I would point you to SHOWVOL by Paul H. Christidis. This points out that
even Groups and Accounts take up 32 sectors when they are empty.

You can get SHOWVOL from the Jazz site.
