Sometimes when I run the FTP client on one HP3000 to get a file from
another HP3000, the client hangs after the message:

150 File: <file name> opened; data connection will be opened

It just sits there, I can't break it, and I have to kill the session
running the FTP client. I have not tracked down the reason it hangs.

Is there a way to kill the FTP client without killing the session running
it? Can a timeout parameter be set so the client will return to MPE on its
own if there is no activity?
