If I understand you correctly, you are trying to telnet into an NT box, and
issue some command? I'm not sure if you are trying to remotely start an ftp
batch on the NT machine from telnet? How does NT start that related process,
and what is that process? More detail would help, and there are likely
alternative solutions to do what you need, but you cannot 'script' telnet on
MPE. You can use a remote shell from MPE, and run the rshsvc from the NT
ResKit, although you are really going to want to spend time on the security
aspect of that approach.

If you are trying to have NT ftp to the 3000, again, there are other
approaches. We run NT's ISS ftp server, and send from our 3000 to NT. To get
around the problem of NT seeing the file before the send is finished, we
send without an extensions, :PAUSE on the 3000, then rename the file to have
the extension, at which point an NT batch process can see and will process
the sent file. And there's always SAMBA, which does not require you to run
any new services on your NT box, assuming that the box is networked (which
it apparently is...).
