Thus it was written in the epistle of Stan Sieler,

This seems very strange to me. When I came onboard here, one of my first jobs
as a new, untrained 3000 manager was an O/S install. I don't remember if it
was 5.5 or one of the powerpatches, but I dutifully got out the book and went
step by step through it. My reaction was, "man, that was easy!" Particularly
compared to what I was expecting (I came from administering Un*x and M$), it
was very clear and straightforward. My only problem was a documentation bug in
the Manual through which I wiped out the system udc settings :-(. I reported
that to the HPRC (it had already been reported) and avoided that step since.

What you've said gives the impression that you completely missed pages 2-2
through 2-24 of the manual. If you pull out the right checklist, you can
follow it in parallel with the book, checking off the things you have done.
You'll be able to look at the top of the page and see what you are doing (e.g.
Manage Patches) and the checklist has page numbers in case you get lost.

If I'm misreading something, please excuse me and re-explain, but I don't see
how large bold letters would gain much in clarity. Still, I don't suppose it
would be a problem to have them there if it would make things nicer for others.
I would be frustrated to be expected to go look it up on a website. On the
other hand, I really don't mind saving the manual from one time to the next.
I've got a bunch of them sitting around, 3 or 4 from PP4 alone :-).
