Yes, I think that you are 100% correct in that the problem seems to be a
miscommunication between the printers and the JetDirect cards.

The actual message I get is:
OUTPUT SPOOLER, LDEV 401: DEVICE HAS REPORTED A POWER
FAILURE OR OTHER INTERRUPTION WHILE OUTPUTTING THE HEADER FOR SPOOLER
ID# O44086 THE SPOOLER WILL REPRINT THE HEADER

        NATIVE SPOOLER MESSAGE 9029

The PCL Configuration is:
        HP JETDIRECT J3263A
        FIRMWARE H.06.00
        PORT SELECT RJ45
        PORT CONFIG 10BASE-T HALF
        AUTO NEGOTIATION ON
        IPX/SPX DISABLED
        DLC/LLC READY
        TCP/IP READY
        IDLE TIMEOUT (SEC) 90
        APPLETALK DISABLED

The system information is:
        RELEASE: C.55.00 MPE/iX HP31900 C.05.08 USER VERSION:
C.55.00

To the best of my knowledge there is no secondary programs on the
system.

I will be glad to give you any other information! Let me know!

Thank you,

Dwayne Stewart

It seems like there is a little bit of miscommunication
between your
impact printers and the JetDirect cards. I would
double-check the
connection, and settings for both, just to make sure.
Some printers
also have "robust" settings for communications on them.
If this one
                does, use it.

In order to get into any more details, you would need to
explain EXACTLY
what the setup is like. Are you using a third party
printing solution?
HP's network printing? Configurations for the ldev,
JetDirect, and
                printer, etc.

Also, does it start printing from the beginning each
time, or does it
just give you the messages about the header?
