I don't know which software is actually being used in this case, but there
exists software that has resides on both the HP3000 and HP9000 that permits
command access from the 9k to the 3k.

I've used this software and it works well.

Best of all, it's freeware, and it's from our (previously) regular hp3000-l
contributor, Jim Wowchuk, from Australia.

I believe it's called MPED and is available on the Interex contributed
library tape as well.
