There is a slightly improved version ready for anyone who wants me to send it.
Besides improvements to the comments & error messages (one of which was
totally incoherent), the only real change is that if the new RTF file it wants
to build already exists, it purgelinks it instead of purging, so things don't
get as ugly if the old file is being accessed.

So, if you have the June 2004 version and don't mind typing 'link' for
youself, you don't really need this one much.
