David,
You MUST have an LP device in SYSGEN located at any path and using any ldev
you choose although I believe the default is ldev6.
You can configure this pseudo LP device on any SE path you choose using
ID=HP5000/F100
HTH,
Guy

Subject: Removing HP-IB
To the list,
I'm removing the HP-IB card from my system this weekend. This will remove
one occurence of LP. One of my network printers is also called LP (ldev71).
Is this going to be a problem that the only definition of LP is a network
printer that isn't there at startup?
I also plan on added a FW card in the slot where the HP-IB card was. Any
check lists out there for adding hardware to the HP3000?
