HP officially stopped providing hardware support at the end of 2010. If you
are lucky enough to be in a large market, you may have been allowed to
extend support. We were allowed to do that in the Minneapolis/St. Paul
area. This didn't help us in our other data centers.

For our global server support, we turned to our trusted partner, MPE Support
Group. They provide HP-like or better support for our servers in London and
Sydney. We have had a couple of issues and they were very responsive. They
also store spare parts on-site which is above and beyond what HP did for
anyone besides Business Critical support. Imagine getting Business Critical
support for less than what HP charged for regular support.

Subject: [HP3000-L] HP3000 Maintenance

Our HP3000 maintenance contract is up for renewal on 30th June but HP have
told us that they will not be renewing the contract. Is this commonplace
across the globe?

Is anyone aware of alternative sources of support for sites here in
Australia?
