We saw the announcement of the 95/NT version and it indicated that
we should be able to upgrade to this version for something like $99.
The Current Reflection 1 for windows version 5.x works just fine on
Windows 95, but we thought what the heck, it would be nice to have a
true 32bit version and it probably has some other nice new features,
so we decided to order the upgrade.

We called WRQ and they asked for the serial number of the copy of R1
that we were going to upgrade. We gave it to them and were told that
this copy had already been upgraded once, and that AFTER ONE UPGRADE
YOU HAVE TO BUY THE WHOLE PRODUCT AGAIN (insert a year's supply of
exclamation points here) for something like $360, because you can't
upgrade an upgrade.

Needless to say we were a bit miffed by this and told them to take a
hike.

Has anyone else run into anything like this? Did we just get someone
who didn't know what they were talking about, or didn't understand
what we were asking to do, or are they trying to get richer than
Microsoft?
