Job Title
Senior HP OpenView Consultant - Madison, Milwaukee
Job Description
Seeking a Senior HP OpenView expert to help our customers implement and
integrate HP OpenView software tools to monitor and manage UNIX/NT/W2K
systems and business critical applications. This position involves heavy
client-interaction and hands on HPOV product implementation. The
qualified candidate will be a team player and be able to work closely
with other consultants, project managers, and multiple customer
interfaces. They must have 4 years of experience with OpenView NNM,
OVO/Windows and OVO/Unix, including installing, configuring and
integrating HPOV systems, network, applications, and internet services
monitoring products into the HPOV enterprise systems management (ESM)
framework. Any work with supporting mixed HP OVO/Windows and OVO/Unix
environments would be a plus. This person should also have strong UNIX
and NT/W2K system administration skills and strong problem solving
skills. 
As a minimum, the Senior HP OpenView consultant will:
Install and configure HPOVO/Unix, HP OVO/Windows, HPOV NNM, and HPOV
Smart Plug Ins (SPIs) to manage UNIX, W2K, NT, network devices and
applications. Use OVO management console(s) to set up filters on data
generated by templates (or policies), implement customized conditions
for automatic actions, and create proper alerts and events/messages
correlations that integrate with Remedy help desk (or HPOV Service Desk)
products.

Job Requirements
Tools application support as a developer and/or administrator with a
minimum of 5 years of recent installation/implementation experience in
one or more of the following toolsets:
HPOV Network Node Manager
HPOV Internet Services
HPOV Reporter
HPOV Service Information Portal (SIP)
HPOV Service Navigator
HPOV Performance Insight (formerly Trinagy's Tend product)
HPOV tools (HPOVO/Unix, SPIs, HPOV tool patching and upgrade experience)
high level project implementation experience, planning and hands-on
installation experience
HPOV tools experience - HPOVO/Windows; SPIs, W2K, NT4.0 server 
Sun Solaris applications installation, patching and scripting experience

Applicants must also have a thorough knowledge of UNIX and/or a minimum
of 2 years experience with Microsoft Windows 2000 and a thorough
knowledge of SQL including Microsoft SQL. (3 to 4 positions depending on
experience of applicants).
