You'll need to install a driver from the disc manufacturer as Win2K won't
recognize drives of 'extra large capacity' without help. I don't have the specs
on the maximum drive size Win2K will recognize without special drivers, but I
imagine with some searching you could find that on support.microsoft.com .

A few months ago when installing a 250Gb disc in a Win2K Advanced Server box, I
had to use the drivers from Seagate. The driver download also comes with some
programs to manage the larger volume, measure performance, etc.

Depending on the drive manufacturer, you may have to install the driver first,
then the drive and use one of the supplied programs to install and configure
the drive into Win2K. This was the case with Seagate, perhaps just the specific
drive I was installing. Maxstor or others may have a program that installs the
driver and configures the drive into Win2K in one pass.
