Hello,
I am new to this forum but it looked like it may be able to provide the
information I
seek.
I have been working on HP3000s on and off since 1976.
I am currently working on a decommissioning project involving HR/Payroll
data on a 987. The project is about 95% complete and yesterday we
experienced a power
failure/spike that may of damaged one of the disc drives.
When the system boots up it cannot mount ldev 3 but is able to boot up.
Unfortunately I cannot access some of the data that spans that device.

Is there a way (maybe using volutil) to remove that drive? I figure I can then
restore @[log in to unmask] and the account/group that contains the data that I need.

Will this work?

Thanks in advance,

Bill
