IMO we the users of this list owe Richard and Jeff and
UTC and Stan a major debt of gratitude for their continued
willingness to provide pro-bono support.  As Stan also
noted, he does ocassionally have to try and attend to
matters that help pay the Allegro light bill. If he didn't
get around to turning 3000-L back on for three days, IMO
we would still have no standing to complain.

If it wasn't that it would be even MORE work for keepers
of the list, think I would again raise the question of
whether or not it would be preferrable to spin off an
"OT:" list...  But since that WOULD be more work, I am
content to use Outlook to send all "OT:" posts to $NULL..
Not that I think none are worth reading;  expect I'm
missing a great many entertaining and perhaps educational
messages on a wide-ranging array of subjects.  But at some
point ya just gotta do triage;  the 3000-L "OT:" stuff
just had to go...
