Another lurker speaks....

I put up Netware on our development 3K (927) when it first
came out. Limitations that caused me to remove it are...
1. (ovbiously) no NLM support.
2. Always will run on at least one version of Netware back
from current.
3. Performance wasn't the greatest.
4. Could NOT have more than one volume under
netware...No SYS:, VOL1:, etc.
5. The previously mentioned printer problem with printing via
HP spooler.

Plusses...
1. Performance was ok for a "straight port" from the Novell
source (as I believe they did).
2. It runs on the 3K.... superior reliability, operations to
pc-based.
3. It's from HP.

As a side note, we are currently running Netware on several
9K's and living with some of those same limitations simply
because we didn't want to have both 9000 and an Intel server
at those sites. Today, we won't put up another 3K Netware.
There are too many other workable options now on the
market.

Hope these biased thoughts help.
